POPS Forum

The POPS Forum led by Sobus is a voluntary and community sector–led network that brings together organisations delivering support services for older residents of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Its partners include local voluntary and community sector organisations, the local authority, health services and funders.

How it works?

  • The Forum offers a platform to share information and updates about available services and to foster collaboration and partnership among members.
  • It also provides a space to develop a shared understanding of older people’s health and social care needs and to use that insight to influence and shape local strategy and policy on issues affecting older people.
  • There is a wide range of voluntary and community sector organisations and partners involved. This includes Age UK, Nubian Life, Creighton Centre, Urban Partnership Group and many others
  • Meetings are held every 4 to 6 weeks
  • Presentations and Topics in the past year have included Frailty, Adults Safeguarding Board, Smoking Cessation, Dementia work including Research Study on Dementia and African Caribbean Elders, Social Services updates, Men’s Health & Wellbeing and funding opportunities.
